The munia baby peeping out of the nest
The munias made a nest in our house. This blog attempts to capture the exciting moments of that story.
The nest
Way up on the 13 th floor in Mangalore, the nest is build between the glass window and the mesh. No one can get to the nest except us. Very ingenious.
The first born
The first munia to emerge from the egg. Quite a sight.
Hatchlings
Just emerged from their eggs. A lot of sibling bonding we see.
Growing up slowly
Hugs for all
Growing up involves a lot of hugs for the hatchlings. Even the unhatched egg gets a hug.
Crowded nest
Three grown ups in a small nest. A little cramped I say.
Home alone
The last one to leave the nest. Cannot fly yet. Siblings have gone today. This munia did fly the very next day.
The empty nest
Believe me, this is a cheerful sight indeed. Life sure is precarious. All is well for this family of munias. Cheers.
